SWALLOW 15 MUSIC SCHOOL
Swallow15 Music School is a rock music school situated in the Strubensvalley area.
The school offers musical training in acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano and keyboards, violin and vocal. Swallow15 aims to teach and empower students through music, with a specific focus on contemporary and rock music.
Swallow15 Music School will take your hand in a step by step journey, guiding you from your first exercise, to playing in a band, and eventually signing a deal with a record company! Our students have recorded CD’s, toured the world, and marveled many a crowd. No matter what level you are on, we will take you to the next.
We teach a creative, inspiring and relevant syllabus. Theoretical aspects are included in the practical training. We train in individual and group context.

Syllabus:
Swallow15 Music School teaches a unique syllabus written by the teachers of the school. This syllabus focuses on teaching the students music based on rock and contemporary music. Theoretical aspects are included within the practical lessons. The training includes the reading of formal music notation, chords and tabs.
The syllabus varies from Beginner to Advanced. Levels include rock, pop, blues, metal, light contemporary and other styles of music, depending on your level. Focus is placed on playing in rock bands, and therefore the training also includes playing with students in a band setup. See “Workshops”.
To adult students we can offer the set syllabus, or otherwise a unique syllabus to fit the adult’s specific need, e.g. worship songs for cell group leaders., campfire songs, etc.
The syllabus is specifically aimed at teaching music in a group context as well as individually.
Workshops:
Swallow15 Music School hosts the most exciting workshops twice a year!!
- The 100-workshops for Beginners include learning about bands, performing on stage, playing on
jembes and much more.
- This year the 100-workshop visited the SABC studios, giving them a good idea of what happens
inside studios!
- In the 200-workshops students start playing in bands with other students!
